- Lake Norman is the largest man-made lake in North Carolina is located about 18 miles north of Charlotte.
- Lake Norman is home to families, retirees, couples, singles, Crappie, Bluegill, Yellow Perch; Striped, Largemouth & White Bass.
- The Lake Norman area is rapidly growing & is one of the most popular areas in North Carolina and is surrounded by many great towns such as Cornelius, Davidson, Denver, Huntersville, Mooresville & Sherrills Ford.
- Lake Norman is the largest of 11 reservoirs in the Catawba River built by Duke Power to supply energy to new industries in the growing region.
- The annual drawdown of the lake starts in September at 98% full pond and ends in February at 92% full pond for snow run-off & rain.
- There are four parks with access to Lake Norman. 3 of them are located in Mecklenburg: Jetton Park, Ramsey Creek Park & Blythe Landing (All located at exit 28 off I-77) and the 4th is Lake Norman State Park.
